# Crypto Payments

SecurQbit accepts **cryptocurrency** so you can subscribe without linking a card, bank, or personal payment method to your account. Crypto is the **only** payment method for [anonymous accounts](/anonymous-accounts), and it's available to everyone else as a private alternative at checkout.

This guide walks through the whole flow: choosing a plan, applying an optional promo code, picking the correct **token** and **network**, and sending the **exact amount** to the payment address the right way.

## What you can pay with

SecurQbit accepts two widely-used, US-dollar-pegged **stablecoins** — so the price you see is the price you pay, with no exchange-rate surprises.

  <span class="crypto-pill"><img src="/crypto/usdc.svg" alt="USD Coin logo" /> USDC <small>USD Coin</small></span>
</div>

> **Note:** We don't accept volatile coins (such as BTC or ETH) directly for subscriptions. Stablecoins keep the amount due stable while your payment confirms on-chain. Which token you can use depends on the network — see the table below (for example, **Base supports USDC only**).

## Supported networks

The same token (USDT or USDC) exists on several blockchains. **The network you choose for your wallet must match the network you select at checkout** — sending funds on the wrong network is the single most common way payments get lost.

| Network | Token standard | Tokens | Typical fee | Confirmation |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| <img class="crypto-logo" src="/crypto/bnb.svg" alt="" />**BNB Chain** | BEP-20 | USDT, USDC | Very low | ~1 min |
| <img class="crypto-logo" src="/crypto/base.svg" alt="" />**Base** | ERC-20 (L2) | **USDC only** | Very low | ~1 min |
| <img class="crypto-logo" src="/crypto/polygon.svg" alt="" />**Polygon** | PoS | USDT, USDC | Low | ~1–2 min |
| <img class="crypto-logo" src="/crypto/arbitrum.svg" alt="" />**Arbitrum One** | ERC-20 (L2) | USDT, USDC | Low | ~1–2 min |

> **Tip:** All four networks are fast and low-fee. If you're paying with **USDT**, choose **BNB Chain**, **Polygon**, or **Arbitrum** — **Base supports USDC only**. If you're paying with **USDC**, any of the four works.

## Step 1 — Choose a plan

Pick the plan you want in the app (**SecurQbit → Account → Subscribe**) or on [securqbit.com](https://securqbit.com). Pricing is the same full feature set on every plan, with bigger savings on longer terms — see [Account & Billing](/account-billing#plans-and-pricing) for the current table.

> **Anonymous accounts:** Free trials are **not** available on anonymous accounts. Choose a paid plan and pay with crypto to activate. See [Anonymous Accounts](/anonymous-accounts) for details.

## Step 2 — Apply a promo code (optional)

If you have a discount or promo code:

1. On the plan or checkout screen, find the **Promo code** field.
2. Enter the code exactly as given and tap **Apply**.
3. The total updates immediately to reflect the discount.

> **Important:** Apply your promo code **before** generating the payment address. The crypto amount shown is calculated from the **discounted** total, so a code added afterward won't change an address that's already been issued. If you applied a code late, cancel the unpaid invoice and start a new one.

## Step 3 — Select Crypto and choose your token

1. At checkout, choose **Crypto** as the payment method.
2. Select the token you'll send — **USDT** or **USDC**.
3. Make sure it matches the token you actually hold in your wallet. USDT and USDC are **not** interchangeable; send the one you selected.

> **Note:** Your token choice affects which networks are available. **Base supports USDC only** — if you select USDT, Base won't be offered, so pick BNB Chain, Polygon, or Arbitrum instead.

## Step 4 — Choose the correct chain (network)

After selecting the token, choose the **network** you'll send it on — **BNB Chain (BEP-20)**, **Base**, **Polygon**, or **Arbitrum One**.

The network must be supported for that token **and** available in your sending wallet. When in doubt, pick the network your wallet already holds the token on.

> **Critical:** The network you pick here determines the address that's generated. Your wallet must send on the **same** network. USDC on Base cannot arrive at a Polygon address, and vice-versa — funds sent on a mismatched network are typically **unrecoverable**.

## Step 5 — Send the exact amount

Once token and network are confirmed, SecurQbit displays a **payment address**, the **exact amount** to send, and (usually) a **QR code** and a **countdown timer**.

Send the payment the right way:

- **Aim for the exact amount shown** — to the last decimal. If you send a little **more** than the amount due, don't worry: the invoice is still marked **paid** and your order goes through (the extra isn't credited toward future renewals). If you send **less**, the invoice simply stays open — you can top it up by sending the remaining difference to the **same address on the same network**, and it's marked paid once the total received reaches the amount due.
- **Use the displayed network only.** Confirm your wallet is set to the same chain before you hit send.
- **Send in a single transaction.** Don't split the amount across multiple transfers to the same address.
- **Pay before the timer expires.** The address and quoted amount are valid only for that window. If it expires, generate a new invoice rather than sending to the old address.
- **Account for wallet fees separately.** Network (gas) fees are paid from your wallet balance on top of the amount — they don't come out of the amount sent to SecurQbit. Make sure you have a little extra for gas.
- **Use a fresh address each time.** Payment addresses are single-use. Don't reuse a previous invoice's address.

You can scan the QR code or copy the address manually — copying is safest. Always verify the **first and last few characters** of the pasted address match what's on screen.

> **Warning:** Some clipboard-hijacking malware swaps copied crypto addresses. Always double-check the address after pasting it into your wallet.

## Step 6 — Confirm you've sent the payment

After you broadcast the transfer from your wallet, return to the checkout screen and press **"I've sent the payment"** (the confirm button). This tells SecurQbit to start watching the blockchain for your transaction.

- Only press it **after** your wallet shows the transaction as sent.
- You don't need a **transaction hash (TXID)** or any reference number — every invoice has its own **unique payment address**, so SecurQbit matches your payment automatically.
- Pressing the button doesn't move any funds — your wallet has already done that. It just begins tracking.

> **Note:** Don't close the invoice before confirming. If you press "I've sent" but haven't actually broadcast the transaction, the invoice simply stays pending until a payment arrives or the timer expires.

## Step 7 — Wait for confirmation

After you send, the payment needs to confirm on the blockchain. Confirmation times vary by network (see the table above) and with network congestion.

- You don't need to keep the checkout page open — your subscription **activates automatically** once the payment confirms on-chain.
- You'll see your plan and renewal date update under **Account → Subscription**.
- There's nothing to submit — your payment is matched automatically to your invoice's unique address.

> **Note:** Crypto subscriptions don't auto-renew. Near the end of your term you'll be prompted to pay again to extend. See [renewals](/account-billing#managing-your-subscription).

## Troubleshooting

**I sent the wrong amount.**
No payment is wasted — you can always fix it:

- **Underpaid?** The invoice stays open until the full amount is received. Just send the **remaining difference** to the **same address on the same network** while the invoice is still open, and it's marked paid as soon as the total received reaches the amount due. If the timer has already expired, contact support with your **payment address**.
- **Overpaid (sent a bit more)?** No problem — the invoice is still marked **paid** and your order activates automatically. Any small surplus isn't credited toward future renewals, so it's best to send the exact amount when you can.

**I sent on the wrong network.**
Funds sent on a network that doesn't match the address are usually unrecoverable. Open a support request with your **payment address**; recovery isn't guaranteed.

**The timer expired before my transaction confirmed.**
If you already broadcast the transaction to the **correct** address and network, it should still credit once it confirms — contact support with your **payment address**. If you hadn't sent yet, just start a new invoice.

**My payment confirmed but my plan didn't activate.**
Allow a few extra minutes for slower networks. If it still hasn't updated, contact support through the Support page on [securqbit.com](https://securqbit.com) with your **payment address**, the **network**, and the **token** you used.
