# Anonymous Accounts

SecurQbit lets you sign up **anonymously** — without an email address, phone number, or any personal details. It's the most private way to use the service and pairs naturally with SecurQbit's [no-logs guarantees](/no-logs-privacy).

Anonymous accounts work a little differently from regular accounts. The two key differences:

  <span class="crypto-pill"><img src="/crypto/usdt.svg" alt="" /> Crypto-only payment</span>
</div>

## What an anonymous account is

Instead of registering with an email and password, an anonymous account is identified by a **randomly generated account ID** (and recovery secret) that only you hold. SecurQbit doesn't ask for — and doesn't store — anything that ties the account to your real-world identity.

Because there's no email or phone on file:

- There's nothing personal to leak, subpoena, or sell.
- **You are solely responsible for saving your account ID / recovery secret.** If you lose it, there is no email-based reset and the account **cannot** be recovered.

## No free trial

Free trials are **not available** on anonymous accounts.

Trials require a way to prevent repeat sign-ups (typically a verified email or app-store identity), which would defeat the purpose of an anonymous account. So to use SecurQbit anonymously, you start on a **paid plan** right away.

> **Want to try before you buy?** Use a regular account for the trial, or rely on SecurQbit's [30-day money-back guarantee](/account-billing#refunds-policy) on a paid plan instead.

## Payment: crypto only

Anonymous accounts can be paid for **only with cryptocurrency** (USDT or USDC). Card and app-store payments are tied to an identity or platform account, so they aren't offered for anonymous sign-ups.

This keeps the account end-to-end unlinkable: no identity at sign-up, and no identifying payment method at checkout.

## Create an anonymous account

1. Open SecurQbit and choose **Sign up anonymously** (or **Continue without email**).
2. The app generates your **account ID** and **recovery secret**. **Save them somewhere safe** — a password manager is ideal. This is the only time they're shown.
3. Choose a paid plan. (Remember: no free trial.)
4. Optionally apply a [promo code](/crypto-payments#step-2--apply-a-promo-code-optional).
5. Pay with **USDT or USDC** following the [Crypto Payments](/crypto-payments) guide.
6. Your subscription activates once the payment confirms on-chain.

> **Critical:** Without an email there is **no password-reset path**. If you lose your account ID / recovery secret, you lose access to the account and any remaining subscription time. Back it up before you continue.

## Signing in on another device

Use your **account ID / recovery secret** to sign in on each device, instead of an email and password. A single anonymous account works across your devices the same way a regular one does — see [Multiple devices](/account-billing#multiple-devices).

## Renewing an anonymous subscription

Crypto subscriptions don't auto-renew. Near the end of your term, sign in and pay again with crypto to extend. There's no stored payment method to charge, which is exactly the point.

## Need help?

Support for anonymous accounts works **without** revealing your identity — contact the team through the Support page on [securqbit.com](https://securqbit.com). For payment questions, have your **transaction hash (TXID)** ready. See also [Crypto Payments](/crypto-payments) and [Account & Billing](/account-billing).
